Jump start on the Holidays

This is one of my favorite times of the year! I decided last year I wanted to start a holiday tradition with the girls so we took them to Silver Dollar City in Branson to enjoy the holiday festivities and of course see Santa! So again this year we enjoyed another weekend in Branson! This year we brought Nana and Papa to enjoy it with us! Here are a few pictures from our weekend....

This year for Halloween I took the girls trick or treating (Mya's first time and Macy's first time to actually know whats going on). They had a great time with friends and of course got waayyy too much candy!

Oh my goodness I have not blogged about our "life" since September 2010!! For anyone wondering (if there is anyone still out there) we are still kickn'....life is very hectic with a 2 & 3 yr. old. I have tons of pictures of things we have been doing....halloween, thanksgiving, sleepovers, christmas, snow, cruise, more snow, earthquakes (well no pics of that...) anyways I hope to get my blog caught up *maybe* this week! When Macy was 1 1/2 this is how I found her after her nap....with her leg (and what a chunky leg it was might I add) stuck between the crib bars.

Macy started going to Mother's Day Out this year and she absolutley LOVES it and so do I!! I'm able to get things accomplished with one kid in tow! Here is some pictures of her first day (I forgot to take the camera in to get pics in her classroom).

We were flattered when the bank we used for our construction loan on our house asked to use our family to be pictured in an ad for their bank. This is the picture they used. Just wished we had stained our front door before the picture, but FINALLY everyone is lookn' at the camera...very rare!

Summer Vacation 2010

We enjoyed a little time away this summer in Branson. We enjoyed the Dixie Stampede, Ridin' the Ducks, watching the "big kids" (Shane, Hunter & Vinnie) ride go-carts, bumper boats and Silver Dollar City.

Wye Mountain has a beautiful daffodil field about 45 minutes from our home. We missed out on the daffodils last year because we had so much rain, I thought it was too wet to take the girls. The weather was beautiful this year when the daffodils bloomed so we took a trip there for cute pics!

Shane and I spent Saturday night with our two favorite Valentine's...Macy and Mya, of course! We took the girls to Build-A-Bear and out to eat for a nice family dinner afterwards!

The weatherman (or at least the one I watched on the news) predicted a light dusting of snow if any for where we live in Arkansas. Shane woke me this morning around 4:30 and said we had lots of snow, but of course i didn't believe and tried to go back to sleep. After tossing and turning for 45 min. I decided to get up and check for myself well low and behold were my eyes surprised! This is what I saw...

It is now 3 o'clock in the afternoon and big snowflakes are still falling and is to continue thru the night! We can actually build a snowman with this kind of snow so the family is headed out this afternoon. I know I still have pics to post from the last snow day and hopefully I can get them all on here tonight. Happy S*n*o*w Day!!

I Never Now Where I Might Find Her

Mya has been quite the little climber in the last 5 or 6 mths. I have one cabinet in my kitchen that has just a few food storage containers in it just for the girls to play with. Well one afternoon (early December) Mya was playing in this specific cabinet and the next thing I know I hear her crying and I go to check and well this is where I found her
Needless to say she was not a happy camper that I went and grabbed my phone to take a picture and also my digital camera before rescuing her!

Snowy Weekend

Well we ended up getting a little more ice/snow late Friday evening and on into the night so fortunately we had enough to get out and play in all weekend long. The girls had great time playing in the snow, riding the rhino and being pulled on a sled. I'm working on getting pics of our weekend uploaded, but for some reason some of the pics are not uploading so hopefully I will get them on here in the next day or two for you to see. It's Not A Winter Wonderland

We got a light dusting of snow here in Central Arkansas (and ice too). Not enough to build a snowman, but enough for schools to be closed and it sure is pretty to look at. We are expected to get some more snow this afternoon so we'll wait and see how much. Me and girls are going to head outside and play in it this afternoon and maybe take a ride on the rhino. Yay for snow!!

Macy was in the Christmas program at church this year. The kids were all dressed up as an ornament. The smaller kids sang "Away in a Manager" and "Happy Birthday to Jesus"

We had a pajama party at Aunt Kim's and the kids and adults too ;) decorated cookies and made gingerbread houses and we even had a visit from Santa and he brought all the kids gifts...they had so much fun!

It Must Be Snow

We woke up this morning to a little *snow* on the ground! Not alot of it (compared to what they got north of us) but it is pretty too look at. Mr. Sun has come out and now the *snow* is melting away. :( The forecast is calling for more *snow* Wed. and Thurs. so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's enough for me and the girls to get out and play in! :)

I'm wishing we were enjoying this first *snowfall* in the new house in front of a nice warm fire. ~sigh~

Macy was so excited about Santa Claus this year or at least seeing pictures of him or seeing commercials with him in it, but it was a different story when we took the girls to see him "live".

~Halloween 2009~
For Halloween Macy dressed us a Little Bo Peep and Mya was her sheep aka lamb. They enjoyed trick or treating at Nana and Papa's (my mom and dad) and Nanny and Pa's (Shane's mom and dad). After filling their baskets with waaayyy to much candy we headed to our church for Octoberfest where the kids enjoyed a hayride, decorating pumpkins, cake walk and trunk or treating.

We celebrated Mya's 1st Birthday this weekend with family and friends. Mya enjoyed getting new toys to play with, but her favorite thing was taking a big handful of icing out of the middle of her cake and eating it! :) The theme of the party was cupcakes and all the kids got to make their own cupcakes to take home with him. We had a great time and are very thankful for everyone that came and celebrated this day with her and thank you all for her wonderful gifts!

We spent Sunday afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch. It was a perfect day! We had so much fun watching the girls ride the ponies, petting animals and picking out just the right pumpkin.

This past weekend Macy and I along with a group from our church participated in the 16th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in downtown Little Rock. We had a great time and it was for a great cause. Can't wait to participate in this each year.

Macy and Mya both went to the dr. yesterday for their 2 yr and 9 mth well child check. They are both doing great and growing like they should. They both had to get one shot and have blood drawn, so it was not a very nice visit for either of them. It never is a good visit for Macy....she starts crying as soon as the dr. walks in the door! Macy's weight is 28 1/2 lbs and is 33 1/2 inches long.....Mya's weight is 17 lbs and is 26 inches long.

Thursday was Macy's 2nd birthday and I wanted her to do something fun for her special day. We took her to The Wonder Place in Little Rock where they have indoor play stations for the kids. Of course Macy's favorite was the water table. If you have never been there you can check out the website here. Macy and Mya both had a really good time and we will definitely be visiting there again.

Learning To Serve

We had Vacation Bible School at church last week. The theme for the week was learning to serve God, community, neighbors, etc. Macy really enjoyed learning new songs and the crafts they did each night.

This has been a big month for my baby girl. She got her front 2 bottom teeth in, she has started eating baby food, is starting to say "da da", sitting up all by herself and crawling. She needs to space some of this out, I want to keep her my "baby" as long as I can! ;)

On Friday (6/12) storms (a tornado, I'm pretty sure of it) rolled thru our area. There was lots of damage in the area, but thankfully no one was hurt. (sorry the pictures are blurry, I was using an old digital camera)

Macy found our grill in the backyard when we went outside to check the damage. Notice her flip flops...she's a yellow box girl too! :)

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, we've been pretty busy this past weekend. Of course a tornado rolled thru our area on Friday afternoon and took out alot of our HUGE trees in our pasture and did other damage around our area. My cousin Morgan got married over the weekend and Macy and I were both in the wedding so we had rehearsal Friday night, in the dark, our church had no electricity and then we were busy with the wedding all day Saturday and church on Sunday followed by my nephew's birthday party. HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY COOPER, WE LOVE YOU!!
I plan on getting some pictures posted soon.

Vilonia Royalty Pageant

Macy and Mya competed in the Vilonia Royalty Pageant this past weekend. The girls did a great job! We also had lots of family and friends participating and everyone look so cute and handsome and they all did an awesome job! :)

Thanks to Aunt Kim for helping me out with Mya! She has walked both of my girls in their very first pageants. :)

We enjoyed a great family mini-vaction in Memphis over Memorial weekend. We visited Graceland, Memphis Zoo, checked out the ducks at the Peabody Hotel and played in the water at Mud Island.

My niece Abie was able to come home from the hospital last Thursday. She is doing great! She now weighs 4 lbs 8 ozs. We are all so glad she is finally home.
